Can I reserve an apartment from out of town?
Yes. We know that many people move into Gainesville from out of town every year, and they want to have all of their arrangements complete before they move. Knowing this, we’ve made special arrangements on the Trimark website to help you choose the best rental floorplan for your needs. You can use the property search on this site to narrow down the floorplans that best matches your needs (all of which are walking distance to the UF campus). Start by choosing your desired price range and # of bedrooms. Hit the search button and you will receive a detailed list of apartments which match your needs, with links to maps, floorplans, availability and photo galleries. The virtual tours are a great way to “tour” the apartment, even if you are out of town. Once you choose the floorplan that is the right fit, simply email us at leasinginfo@trimarkproperties.com and inform us which apartment you want to reserve. We will immediately call you and make arrangements to send the necessary paperwork via priority mail or FedEx. You can also call the leasing office directly and a leasing consultant will be happy to discuss the process with you.
I want to see an apartment in person. What’s next?
Touring an apartment in person is the best way to get a feel for what it’d be like to live there. Trimark Properties offers in-person tours weekdays from 10am until 4pm. Walk-ins are always welcome, but to reduce your wait time, we recommend scheduling your apartment tour in advance. To schedule a tour, call the leasing office or schedule a tour via our online form.
How do I reserve an apartment I see on this site?
Check to see if the apartment is available for your desired move-in date, by clicking on the availability button at the top of the individual webpage for the apartment complex you are interested in.
If you are in Gainesville, the next step would be to schedule a tour of the apartment. During your tour, we will show you the apartment complex and the floorplan you are interested in. We recommend bringing any friends, potential roommates, or parents that will be part of your decision making process. After the tour, we will give you the necessary paperwork to reserve the apartment. Filling out the paperwork takes approximately 20-30 minutes—it’s very fast, and it’s very easy. We recommend completing the paperwork as soon as you determine which apartment would be the best fit; availability of each floorplan is limited.
If you are out of town and want to reserve an apartment that you see on our website, simply email us at leasinginfo@trimarkproperties.com and tell us which floorplan you would like to reserve. We will immediately call you and make arrangements to send the necessary paperwork via priority mail or FedEx. You can also call the leasing office directly and a leasing consultant will be happy to discuss the process with you.
How does roommate matching work?
Ivy House & Windsor Hall all offer professional roommate matching. Their professional roommate matching questionnaires determines your personality, study habits, interests, hobbies, age, gender, and cleanliness—and then the staff uses the assessment to match you with roommates who have the most similar personalities to you. As part of your in-person tour, we go over the roommate matching paperwork with you and discuss the roommate matching process. We have a very high success rate. Our 2006 study found that roommates were equally or more likely to be satisfied with their roommate(s) when they used our professional roommate matching, rather than choosing for themselves.
